Vol. 14 Issue 3
God, the Creator is full of Mercy, Faithful, and full of Wisdom. His Providential Care has no equal. He is Alpha and Omega. He is Holy and cannot change nor fail. He is omnipresent and is a God of wrath. He requires faithfulness and obedience to His Holy Word.
Editor’s Corner… “Our FAITHFUL GOD”
While privileged to witness the sun rise over the horizon every morning, I rise to behold the dawning of each new day. I am more and more awed at the spectacular display my eyes behold. The brilliant reflection cast upon the perfectly still waters, having a mirror like quality as they give rise to the morning mist, echoes the beauty of this blazing ball of fire in the sky. I am moved as I ponder over the fact that no futile act of man can stop its rise, nor can the darkness of a cloud filled sky block its luminosity. Its rays, as it rises behind the clouds, highlight the clouds form and breaks through dissipating the night. I am filled with wonder as I realize this repetitious event is simply at the will of our faithful and providential God. Because He willed this ball of fire to light the universe with precision at its set time daily, it cannot be reversed by mere mortal man. As I watch, I reflect on the promise of God to bless His loving children and am encouraged to confidently be assured that blessings cannot be reversed because our great God has willed them to overtake His children. They too come to fruition at their set time even when they are seemingly blocked by imposing obstacles. In fact, these obstacles are mere distractions we focus upon causing us to fail to see the power of what looms behind them. Just as no two morning skies are the same, some cloudless and calm, while others are riddled with threatening impending storms, the believer’s daily walk presents its unique set of challenges. Yet, we can rest assured that just as the sun is rising over the horizon, blessings will overtake us because it is the will of God. Indeed, God’s mercies are new day by day.

“Our HOLY GOD” What Does He Require?
Sacred text reveals a life altering experience by Prophet Isaiah. as he came face to face with the GREAT “I AM”, transforming him forever (Isaiah 6:1-8). He was privileged to see GOD as HE is, in HIS exalted state. We can only begin to imagine what he witnessed! I AM was sitting on a throne, high and lifted up with HIS train filling the temple. This denotes HIS absolute power and authority over heaven and earth. Further, the seraphims stood guard recognizing the eminence of HIS glory while calling one to another day and night, “Holy, Holy, Holy,is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of HIS glory!” “Oh that men would praise the Lord for HIS goodness, and for HIS wonderful works to the children of men”(Psalm 107:8)! As he cried, Shekinah glory filled the temple and the door posts moved. Everything moves by the power of GOD! Isaiah’s testimony gives credence to the fact that mankind cannot stand before I AM without becoming transparent, with every insufficiency revealed, and needing the help of their Maker. Observe Isaiah’s confession, “woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips,……for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts” (Isaiah 6:5). Bear in mind Isaiah ministered in the court prior to King Uzziah’s death and thought he was alright! As it was with Isaiah, so it should be with us. If we are focused upon I AM and revere HIM as the SELF-EXISTENT and ETERNAL ONE, although saved, holy living is required to secure eternal life (Ephesians 5:27). Constantly in the face of GOD, everything in life becomes a mute point. Nothing takes precedence over THE GREAT I AM. In the grand scheme of everyday living, nothing is important as HIM saying to us “well done thou good and faithful servant” (St. Matthew 25:21). full of HIS glory!” “Oh that men would praise the Lord for HIS goodness, and for HIS wonderful works to the children of men”(Psalm 107:8)! As he cried, Shekinah glory filled the temple and the door posts moved. Everything moves by the power of GOD!
…Introducing Jeremiah Nance
Jeremiah Nance is the oldest son of Duane and Angie Nance and the firstborn grandchild of Bishop and First Lady Forrest and Victoria Nance. Jeremiah is a quiet, always well-dressed young man who is a faithful member of Faith Temple in Warsaw, VA, where he willingly helps where he is needed. He plays the drums and guitar, and he has begun to write songs. Jeremiah is sixteen years old and in the eleventh grade at King George High School in King George, VA, where he is a member of the basketball team and the chorus. In addition to his athletic abilities, he received all “A’s” in his sophomore year of high school. The members of Faith Temple are grateful to the Lord for Jeremiah and the other young people at Faith Temple, and it is the goal of Bishop Nance and the congregation that they continue to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. One example that the Word is taking root in Jeremiah was demonstrated by his response to a recent transportation problem that occurred. Minister Lance Wright was driving Jeremiah and his cousin and brother home from church when the power steering in the vehicle began to fail. While Minister Wright did what he could to remedy the problem, Jeremiah prayed. It was after the power steering suddenly began to work that Jeremiah told Minister Wright that he prayed and his prayer was answered. Jeremiah’s dream is to be a professional basketball player and we believe that all things are possible in Jesus Christ. What matters is that the will of the Lord be fulfilled in his life. God has blessed Jeremiah with many talents which he is being taught to use for the glory of the Lord. He has expressed the desire to help other young people and he has that potential in Jesus Christ. Let us continue to pray for Jeremiah and all of the youth of NFCOG that they will continue to grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
